Just for Fun... 05/26/2009
![]() I went shopping and ran into some b-boys break dancing on the corner--straight out of the 80's with a boombox & Adidas suits on! Thanks to my fortunate opportunity & always having my "third arm" with me, I just added a new item to the Graphix page! Here is the original photo of one of the breakers. See if you can find all 9 differences! (It's not as easy as it looks--pay attention to the details as well as the obvious!) Testing, Testing...123 05/24/2009
I designed a new hand bag/clutch that actually has a purpose! I gave it a test drive this weekend to see how people would react and things went pretty well! I'm going to test it out at a Memorial Day BBQ tomorrow and see how that goes! Sorry to be so vague, but (as usual) I'm working on something pretty big and can only work with perfection! PROVED THEM WRONG!!! Officially! 05/14/2009
Well, my ties to Corporate America were officially severed today at 12:38 pm when I closed a deal and negotiated a contract as a Web Consultant! I will now have more time to create, design, perform, etc. while not having to "starve" as an artist! This is not yet a "Lariadi" entity, but I am so happy to be moving forward in my endeavors to change how artists are viewed. YES, I--an artist--worked for Corporate America as the Creative Marketing Director! YES, I was on time everyday. YES, I got promoted 2x. And now I'm just moving forward. So to all who thought artists were too whimsical, spontaneous, & flighty to hold a corporate position...I HAVE OFFICIALLY PROVED YOU WRONG!!! (Thank God! Somebody had to!) NEW Blog Home Page! 05/12/2009
From here on out, I'm gonna let you in on what page has new content, what projects I'm currently working on, and when you can come to my next performance!! But before I do, here's a brief recap of my favorite event of 2009 so far: ![]() January 2009... I attended the Inauguration where my most popular piece, "Strawberry 29" was distributed within The Washington Times on almost every Downtown D.C. corner! "Being privileged enough to be apart of history--in print, and knowing these newspapers will be saved forever is an honor to say the least. It was breathtaking, and despite the cold, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else!" -Lariadi |
